We’ve just joined NW Natural’s Smart Energy project – which means that 100% of our natural gas emissions will be offset.  We strive to be as green and environmentally friendly as possible as a company.  This is true whether it’s by using water-based paint and zero-voc paint, by recycling all recyclables, or by joining programs like these. We have just joined Northwest Society of Interior Designers! They are a regional professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence in interior design, and provide regular education. The link to their website is here.

We have just recently become a Sikkens P3 Certified Contractor, which means we have been trained and have experience using their wood finishing products. We’ve worked with Sikkens products for over 20 years. There are wood finishing products for every need you may have – decks, rails, siding, doors, windows, etc.

“Green – New and Different Materials”  is the title of the presentation by Joel Hamberg that will be given on Friday, July 17th.  It will be at the Nines Hotel at 9:30 in the morning.

Organized by the PDCA’s Residential Forum, this will take place on July 16th-18th at the Nines Hotel in Portland, OR.

Joel Hamberg has a presentation during the program. On July 16th, atendees will have the chance to tour our shop!

This year, the 2009 Western Conference of PDCA Councils will be taking place in South Lake Tahoe.

Joel Hamberg will be delivering a presentation on Monday, May 4th, with the theme “The New Geren Products – A Contractor’s Perspective”.

At PACE 2009, company president Joel Hamberg also delivered a presentation on the subject of “Marketing Green”.  This presentation was summarized by an article written in PACE Conference News – “Getting the Most From ‘Going Green‘ “.
